Hey guys!

A bit of background on the game: I started a game as England, and it's going ridiculously well, but my AE is way over the top. I started with a reconquest against France by releasing Gascony (my usual start as England, since the pu is a bit of a pain to manage) it went well, got all the cores back, latter got scotland as a vassal, did conquest for Ireland (didn't want to waste a diplo slot on vassalizing, and I had a ruler with 6 adm from the war of the roses). Got a lucky pu over Spain after they disinherited Enrique. Got the mission for a pu over France, and got it. I started the game thinking of colonizing plus doing some continental conquest so I went straight for Explo + Expan (Looking back it probably would be better to start with Influence).

So it's about 1485, I am currently in a war with Burgundy (I was hoping to take over their vassals with the age bonus), however AE is really really high with all the HRE, so I probably can only take 1 of Flanders (managable AE) or Bravant (will 100% trigger a big coallition, holland gained independance before). I am wondering about the dutch revolts, I generally avoid them by moving my capital, but I've only dealt with them as Spain, Austria and France having all the dutch provinces. If I don't have all of them does it trigger even if I have my capital in a dutch proovince? I am not sure AE will allow me to conquer them all before 1550 since I will probably be spreading the Lancanster dinasty to Denmark (their ruler is 66 years old and no heir).

My other question is in regards to PUs not taking exploration. I got the PU over Castille before they got admin 5, so they didn't take explo, which is a shame.... If I was to increase their liberty desire and kill off my ruler as they get admin 7, breaking the PU, would they take explo? (Allowing me to re-PU them afterwards.

Well thanks for any advice, I know it's very specific, but hopefully someone here has some experience with these issues xD

They do have a Colonist in their ideas and can take Expansion as a subject. That leaves them with two colonists and they will do an okay job of colonising with them. If you abdicate while they have negative opinion of you, you'd lose the PU so then I guess they might take Exploration, but you'd have to time it just right. How long does the Restoration of the Union CB even last these days? I haven't lost a PU for many patches so I'm not sure about that part of the plan.

I have no idea about the duration of the CV, but it shouldn't be an issue, I am quite over powered atm so a war against catille should be a piece of cake. The problem is since I have scotland, france and will probably get norway and prevent the netherland, only me and portugal are colonozing. And the best startegy to colonize is to steal other peoples colonies. I think having a subsidized spain doing some serious work would help quite a bit. I am just not sure if they take exploration is they haven't taken it as a first idea. (And without the range from it, they will be quite late to any serious colonizing even with the explorer and expansion)

I just remembered from your post that PU's break for negative relations, not LD, does taking provinces from them decrease relations, or is their another way to do it?
