Hey guys!
A bit of background on the game: I started a game as England, and it's going ridiculously well, but my AE is way over the top. I started with a reconquest against France by releasing Gascony (my usual start as England, since the pu is a bit of a pain to manage) it went well, got all the cores back, latter got scotland as a vassal, did conquest for Ireland (didn't want to waste a diplo slot on vassalizing, and I had a ruler with 6 adm from the war of the roses). Got a lucky pu over Spain after they disinherited Enrique. Got the mission for a pu over France, and got it. I started the game thinking of colonizing plus doing some continental conquest so I went straight for Explo + Expan (Looking back it probably would be better to start with Influence).
So it's about 1485, I am currently in a war with Burgundy (I was hoping to take over their vassals with the age bonus), however AE is really really high with all the HRE, so I probably can only take 1 of Flanders (managable AE) or Bravant (will 100% trigger a big coallition, holland gained independance before). I am wondering about the dutch revolts, I generally avoid them by moving my capital, but I've only dealt with them as Spain, Austria and France having all the dutch provinces. If I don't have all of them does it trigger even if I have my capital in a dutch proovince? I am not sure AE will allow me to conquer them all before 1550 since I will probably be spreading the Lancanster dinasty to Denmark (their ruler is 66 years old and no heir).
My other question is in regards to PUs not taking exploration. I got the PU over Castille before they got admin 5, so they didn't take explo, which is a shame.... If I was to increase their liberty desire and kill off my ruler as they get admin 7, breaking the PU, would they take explo? (Allowing me to re-PU them afterwards.
Well thanks for any advice, I know it's very specific, but hopefully someone here has some experience with these issues xD
