Not being a modder, I am looking for an event that would allow me to move a capital and rename a region (as part of my Romanian AAR).

Specifically, moving the Romanian capital to Istanbul and renaming it Constantinople.

How difficult would this be?

I can manually fire it, not a problem. Same with changing the name (which, I assume is in Province Names in the config folder).

Try adding a trigger to see if that remedies it. A nice simple one like, exists = ROM along with the ownership of Istanbul( I forget the exact command for that atm because I am otherwise distracted).

P.S. Have you added a core on Istanbul ? As I recall, capitols must be located on cores.

I believe it was just a matter of placing it in every single Mod34 location and then exiting the game... :)

Seems to work okay without having Istanbul as a core.

I will add the core manually when I change the name from Istanbul to Constantinople... actually, never thought about the whole notion of having it as a core, just needed the event for the AAR... :p

Speaking of cores, if I wanted an event that grants a core, what would that code look like?

I am thinking that after the establishment of the Greater Romanian Republic (again, this is for that ARR), that after 10 years of occupation that a province would convert to being a core if that province borders a province already in the empire (would represent cultural creep).

P.S> Don't think there is an option to check for your 10 year parameter. You will just have to work with that. Maybe some others here know of a way to check for this?
