Pretty sure the AAR's are in a section that requires you have registered the game. As for clips, I have never watched one.

I've watched a couple of different Let's Play for CKII, and yet everytime I start a game, I still get stuck with what to do first. The Let's Play videos are a bit misleading because they all seem to have some experience with these types of games, whereas I do not. I tried EUIII once and was completely loss. I don't know much about history, nor the specific time period but I keep trying. I'm going to try another game of CKII today, wish me luck...

That play through is a little out of date, and he doesn't seem to be too clued up on that region but it's pretty decent.

I'm not too clued in on any of these regions, nor the time period at all. I love the concept of these games but I can't help but wonder if they're really only enjoyable by history buffs. I never really knew there were so many rules to follow when you're a ruler. Where the good old fashioned despot who rules through fear and intimidation or through other much more unsavory means?
While I'm not ignorant of history, I don't think I'd have called myself a "history buff" prior to playing CKII. With that said, its still a blast, and I accidentally ended up learning tons along the way. Historical knowledge isn't all that critical, honestly, and mostly just can serve as a "jumping off" point. But mostly, un-important. History changes the moment you hit play.
I'm really not that interested in history at all and I really enjoy CK2.
Also, to the OP: when I first started playing I was also looking for youtube let's play videos and found that there were really not that many useful ones out there. I think the reason for this is partly because a full playthrough 1066 to 1453 takes SO long to finish that it would require someone sitting there for many many hours watching the full thing and because there are frequently too many aspects of the game that are boring for someone else to watch. I was actually going to post a let's play video some time ago, but once I'd recorded maybe 2-3 hours of my game, I realised that even with the talking over it, it was probably going to be boring for someone to watch.

And it is pretty informative, useful and well presented. The only problem is that it takes a few hours to watch the entire series, by the time I finished it I was too exhausted to actually play the game, for good few days...
