Wasn't sure if this should go into bug report or tech support so.... not sry if this is in the wrong place. Re-installed stellaris twice which only made me stop being lazy on the holiday and watch that weird tim allen santa clause set of movies.... Have disable, loaded stellaris, quit out and re-enabled the necroid dlc, which also didn't solve it and also disabled all mods which also didn't return with which I own... Deleted the dlc folder aswell which broke my saved species somehow. Any other things i can try to solve this or was their a post that i'm to dumb to see about the dlc bein bonk and needing a patch?
Also this goes without saying but yes i did verify game files multiple times....
Edit i guess das how it works... the origin and civics are the only functional parts of the dlc, none of portraits appear in game along with the ship.

It's hard to see how it's possible that only part of a DLC works, it should be all or nothing. But you don't give much detail about what exactly you believe is missing and how you are checking for that.

You may as well try a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere, and user_empire_designs.txt from /Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ if you have made any custom empires or races.
- "uninstall" in Steam-Stellaris
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox/Stellaris folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add stellaris.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.

If that doesn't help, please clarify what you believe is missing and how you are checking that, thanks.

My b, should've stated that I did that already. The portraits, ship appearance and I assume traits are missing from the game, as in, not appearing at all. The lithanoid dlc, which I don't own, still show's it's portraits but none of the necroid one's are appearing as if the dlc wasn't enabled at all. To test I just started the game up with only the dlc's enabled and went into a new game, appearance and clicked threw the tab's looking for the necroid species. I've deleted all stellaris files, including documents each time i reinstalled or verified the game which didn't solve the problem at all as I sorta half stated in the first post. I haven't started a new game and used the console to see if necroid species were spawning in game, but I assumed everyone bought this dlc for the portraits and the ship appearance... unless I'm wrong and the necroid dlc doesn't add new portraits and a new ship appearance, in which case, I'm sorry for wasting your time. :D

You see portraits from a DLC you don't have, but not ones from a DLC you do have? It's ... hard to see how that is possible! Are you sure you don't have them mixed up? You can see them next to each other here:

This is all in the "Appearance" part of building a new empire, right?

I meant the lithanoid robot but I made a silly and forgot to add robot into the sentence. Clicking on it brings up the page to buy the lithonoid dlc, and the tab for the specie isn't their nor is the ship appearance. The Stasis Being is the only necroid portrait that appears in game.

Edit (we doin dis agin) I have a full analysis, the spider portrait from the necroid dlc was appearing under robots, and the necroid tab wasn't appearing in game. The same goes for the lithnoid robot. A portrait or 2 from both dlc were appearing in the other tabs for some od reason as well. Neither lithnoid or necroid ship appearance were in the ship selection and the civ's and origin for necroid were the only other things that were appearing at the time. By the magic of lucky 3, clean installing for a third time has fixed the issue and none of my mods were the culprit! I assume this is a "once in a life time" bug as i haven't seen any other reports of this happening... lets assume this is fault of engineering... I shall put my pc into time out for the rest of the night. :D
