There have been quite a few posts regarding the desire to see contracts in another system aside from the breadcrumbs.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of the idea as I feel this sort of makes planet hopping too easy.

But then I had an idea

What if you could go to the Navigation screen, click on any planet within 50 LY (the range of a Hyper Pulse Generator), pay N cbills (where N is a NOT insignificant amount, lets start with 60k for giggles), and then see the contracts available in that System. You can do this for any system within the 50 LY range. You can do it for any system in range once per day.
NOTE: The range of a jump is 30 LY so... you could be checking planets 2 jumps away.

These are the contracts that are available THAT day. You can not accept one of these contracts. You can only accept the breadcrumb contracts from a distance. The visible contracts decay according to whatever system is currently in effect for contract spawning, only in reverse (with a replacement spawning). So that juicy "Stubborn Surrender" might not actually be there when you arrive.

This enables the Player to check surrounding planets for useful contracts which is what is desired by some. Encourages upgrading the Argo's Engines for faster transits thus avoiding the "decay". Allows for a "too bad" the juicy contract is no longer available. Adds a CBill sink which is never a bad plan.

LORE: Sending and receiving messages in the HPG network is expensive. Even more so out here in the Periphery. In addition to the costs for a fast return, there are also costs associated with agent fees.

Again... I am not a fan of this concept at all. However, it is at least worthy of a discussion that isn't directly tied to... I can see all contracts everywhere/nearby.
