I have only played one game so far as Spain, but I have already drawn the conclusion that the AI Navy have developed radar, no matter where I go with my fleet they soon follow to intercept.

When using my fleet to blockade Gibraltar I can see why a British Fleet would head my way to break the blockade often 20+ ships (the AI does not seem bright enough to leave any considerable force there so tends to leave 1 or 2 behind to keep guard).

But when there was 10 British Ships at Gibraltar as the French had it under siege I decided to send my fleet which was along the north east coast (Med) well away from the British with transports to attack Malta, I expected the British may head my way once I arrived and I'd have plenty of time to unload those ships before they got there, but no as soon as they left port the British fleet headed on an intercept course forcing me to land on the Med Islands. the British Fleet arrived to find me safe in port so he returned to Gibraltar but this process kept repeating every time I set sail they would head back my way. I got there in the end by sneaking along the African coast line.

Although later while at war with France I forgot to keep eye on my fleet after all the British had no land in the med so they are hardly going to catch me blockading the French Med ports are they, guess I was wrong on that one as the message to tell me I had suffered a defeat as 30 British ships broke my blockade

This is for sure the case. I posted it in the bug section as they do not worry about fog of war. Playging as sweedned I could see the prussian navy leave port at any moment my ships left port (and he had no visibility on my ports)
