As Italy in v1.03 NA, 1936 I see German ships in the Med - a little wierd, but within reason.

However, I also see Argentinian ships in the Med. WHich makes NO sense.

Something strange then, I just loaded up and as Italy I do not see German or Argentinian ships anywhere in the Med. I see Spanish, French, British, Italian, Greek and Yugoslavian ships. The Yugo fleet shows that it has a carrier....perhaps Italy can buy it off them. :)

To clarify, there is no major war yet - just Italy and Ethopia. Argentina is neutral. THe ships sailed there, as far as I can tell from Argentina, they didn't start there....and I now see a Japanese fleet sailing by Sicily. I guess it is suddenly a major tourist spot.

Ok, that makes a difference. I made the assumption that you had noticed them on startup. I agree, that is VERY strange. Valuable oil is being used by those aimlessly wandering fleets. Good catch!

swilhelm73,

You win, I'm playing Italy and it only took 45 days for 2 Argentinian fleets to make the journey to the Med. I've seen the single German fleet and the 6 strength Japanese fleet. Something for 1.04 I guess. :) Just happy to have something new to pick apart aren't we? :D

BTW, since we're both playing Italy....long live Italy!!!!!!!!

LOL! No doubt, I just spotted a Persian fleet sailing around the Med too. No doubt they wanted to get their trial runs in for the annual Med Fleet Regatta. :)

swilhelm73, I will indeed check your 1.03 allies thread. Actually, I think I already did...it was about the allies getting honked if you messed with other democratic nations right?

There must be something in the Italian water eh? :)

Like clockwork, the Argentinian, Japanese and German fleets arrive and begin their endless Med tour. I still want that damn Yugoslavian carrier too.

As the Italians, I really wanted to go after the Greeks, but knowing that the Allies will react really put a crimp in my early warmongering. Excellent!

Don't know. Trip commented that with the juiced up navies, the AI wants to see the world. My problem with this is that the AI is wasting resources (oil) sailing around for no purpose. Perhaps it should be hard-coded for non-belligerents to not move warships out of port. The tricky part would be the transports and some countries still needing to shuttle troops around during peace. I'll leave it to the designers to decide. My opinion is that the fleets should stay home during times of peace.

I always see Yugo carrier, I now checked editor and it says Yugoslavia had a carrier named "Zmaji". Is this historical or is it some sort of bug?

Excellent I saw it as well ,but didn't believe my eyes. They were hanging out around Malta, those Iranains obviously have some taste.
Seen the Italians off Japan etc.
What about a competition for most travelled Navy ?
I'd offer Brazil, as I regularly see several fleets in the English Channel. Come to think of it I'm seing the Estonian Navy there a great deal to.
I'm half expecting to see L.Ron 'the do ron ron" Hubboard's Navy turning up at some stage.
