If you need a Navy (or how important the Navy is) in HoI will depend on how the game is modeled. It should be essential for at least America or Japan to win the war. Wether it is or not remains to be seen.
I hope HoI will make the Navy more important to success in the game.I have my fingers crossed.

In the end, it's probably still a foregone conclusion, but maybe the human player can get Belgium to fight for a week, instead of only five days.![]()

Which branch I choose to favor will depend on which nation that I am playing, my long-term strategic objectives, and how skillfully I manage to manipulate the political situation, e.g. if playing Germany and my goal is security in the West and the S.U. has been maintained as a nominal ally, then air followed by naval seems best.

actualy if you build a massive navy as russia you might so confuse the germans they invade the wrong way and drive into the atlantic![]()

Belgium did last longer than Denmark (which surrendered without fighting) and the Netherlands.

Hmm.. Good idea! And maybe cut off their trade with Sweden! You could sink the German ships that go back and forth. Then, you go to Atlantic too, and have them surrounded.. Ingenious!

For England, I would probably go Air Force, Land, then lastly Naval. I would probably worry more about the Air Force so that I could defend from Germany and all of that and the Land forces to fight in Europe. The Navy would be more for fighting in the Pacific, but I would probably worry more about Europe if I was England.

Come on, you all know what happened to the Panzer divisions in France after Normandy, they were bombed back to raw material...
I'm seriously planning to have 3 air divisions for every ground division.![]()
