Naval units all over the map?

After installing 1.03, I noticed that the navy of most countries is very spread out. Even Italy has naval units in S.E. Asia. Brazil has naval units in the upper atlantic. What is the deal here? Does the A.I. navy not have range restrictions? This seems very weird.

The naval AI cheats when it comes to attrition, so it doesn't become too weak to do anything.

Progress on the naval AI's use of boats has come a long way, and continues, so don't worry too much.

Particularly that Yugoslavian Carrier fleet I saw floating by near Auckland.

Like I said elsewhere, the since the AI's learned how to use its fleets better, every country wants a piece of the action now.

I wouldn't say its better . It still disperses its fleets into penny packets that are all too easy to defeat in detail.

Performance of the naval AI has been sucking up Johan's time for quite a while, so it's been greatly improved, IMO...

Trust me, myself and the other betas see stuff that we'd like to see changed and fixed all the time, but there's only so much Johan can do (and only so much he listens to us )...

The UK AI should always keep a single stack of ships in home waters whose combat values equal 1.5 X the combat values of the entire kreigsmarine.

How many neutral fleets had death wish to move through war zones?

Shouldn't there be also accidental attacks on neutral fleets and even allied or your own fleets!

Sharks devoured a fair number of allied sailors during WWII. This is a good suggestion for max. realism. Let's start a seperate thread and some real hype about it!
