Doing a US game where I'm invading Russia via Vladivostok.

For some reason the game prefers to ship my supply through to Northern Thailand, and from there through all of China to Mongolia.

Meanwhile, I've improved all of the Asian Russian infrastructure to 10, and have 7!! level 10 naval ports in the Vladivostok region.

What am I missing here? Northern Malay has only 1 level 5 port, and even if you include Singapore there's one level 8, one level 5 and one level 1.

Surely shipping straight to Vladivostok is better? Chinese mainland infrastructure is pretty mediocre too, mostly 4-6 range (I had boosted a few as a test before).

What am I missing?

EDIT: noticed the same, but in Norway. The game wants to supply through Murmansk, then back through Northern Norway to Oslo, where I now have red supply. Surely it would be easier to just.... ship to Oslo? Or at least use the Trondelag ports?

Similarly, I am getting NO supply in Denmark, but the Danish belts are contested? I took over all of mainland Denmark, including the port in Jutland? I THINK if I get Sjaeland I can get supply? But seems weird I can't get supply in given the direct line.

Hit F2 for naval. Click on the sea zones you do not want convoys to go, like the one off Singapore. The sea zone window will pop up in the lower left corner of the screen. This window has a green, yellow, and red button you can click to control where convoys and fleets avoid. Click on the yellow or red button on the sea zone window and you can force the convoys to take a route to Vladivostok, or elsewhere.

When you have F2 chosen, you will dashed lines that represent where supply lines and imports/exports are going. After you adjust the sea zones like I mentioned above, unpause the game and you will see those dotted lines change location to avoid the areas you designated.

China isn't limiting the supply, the Thailand port is the problem. The issue seams to be you are telling the convoys to avoid the sea zone near vladivostok if possible (it's yellow).

For the Norway one, you are not allowing trade or convoys through the Eastern North Sea so they cannot supply through Oslo. It should be going through Trondelag by the looks though. Is the base there destroyed?

Denmark seems to be a bug. The reason its 0 is cause of the 0% of border controlled, which is clearly wrong.

Thank you! Switching the naval convoys fixed Europe and Norway.

Denmark still seems bugged. I think it might be because it thinks the Danish Belts are contested? At first I only had Jutland. However now I just took over Copenhagen from Sweden and still causing the issue.

It appears that any invasion of Denmark is incredibly difficult for supply if the Axis already owns the country? If you need to conquer the whole country before your supply runs out to open the Baltic.

It's not bugged.
You can't access ports behind a contested strait.
Invade Hamburg or build a port in Denmark that is not behind the strait.

Why is it contested if I own Jutland AND Sjaeland?

More broadly, is the meta supposed to make invading Denmark that difficult? You cannot invade straight to Copenhagen because it is behind the Danish Belts. But you cannot get supplies if you just have Jutland. So you need to land and make a mad dash for Copenhagen or your supplies are screwed. as you cannot force the Danish AI to make ports on the western side.

@FireZealot ,

You need to control the following provinces to access the Danish Belts (from HOI4 wiki List of provinces):

Hovering over the strait icon should also highlight the provinces required to control it
