Kind of... I personally think it looks like if they bumped into another ship:rolleyes: and scratched their paint job...

Or the quay was laid with tires, and they bumped into it while going to port. Who knows? ;)

Su-34 is indeed an impressive plane, and "peace operation" is of course one way to put it but thats patriotism for you.

From an objective point of view: there was war, operation had objective to force peace, a week and most Georgian military hardware in flames later there was peace. A tenuous one at best, but there was peace. So the mission was successful and operation had a fitting name. It did as advertised.

Now for some pics, here are the mighty warships that will be the pride of the Iraqi Navy, now that Americans and Brits allowed their navy to rebuild:

Well, to be honest, that's pretty much the objective of all offensive military activity, to enforce peace on your terms. What you described is no different from any military intervention, just or unjust. The question is whether the Russian entry in the war was just, and I know my answer to that.

To justify my post, naval picture!
The catastrophe at Horsfjärd 1941, where three swedish destroyers who where anchored together foundered during an excercise with torpedoes, where the armed torpedoes for an unknown reason exploded simulteaneously on two of the ships, which also ignited the armed depth-charges, sinking the three destroyers in less than fifteen minutes. An investigation concluded that sabotage was the most likely cause, but no saboteurs where found. It was however determined that it was most likely an allied sabotage, in order to weaken the swedish navy, who escorted german ore convoys through swedish waters.

War happens because both sides think their action is just: "War doesn't determine who is right, but who is left" That is a good saying.

Here is a pic of two ironclads that were both convinced in the justness of their cause:

Ah. The great Greco-American war that divided the world so much and caused the deaths of so many. Long shall it be a stain on our otherwise pristine past.

First of all, pic has already been posted I believe. Secondly... THE 45's DO AND WILL have Phalanx CIWS installed.

Here is that CIWS that isn't true... :p

Astute97, where did you get the idea that the Type 45's won't have any CIWS?
