Unfortunatly no. Or at least that it what I heard and I have never saw it.

In HoI2 though, you will be able to set your ships to do multiple task, lessing your micromanagment ;) So lets wait till then.

My game isn't operational right now (long story, and nobody wants to hear it), so I can't test this theory out myself, but I'd like to ask before I forget. Could you send a naval bomber squadron on a naval bombing mission to an empty province with the "continuous bombardment" option, or whatever that thing in the lower-right is called? If you could, you could have a vicious coastal defense, with a large enough air force.

I wait until one enemy ship goes through that area. Set up a naval bomb run to repeat and forget about it. That plane will continue that mission for the rest of the game or until it gets shot down. If no enemy are there, org slowly builds back up even though missions are still being flown. As Germany, after the allied fighters are 'removed', I have TAC AIR patrolling ALL my beach areas and they put a serious hurt to the US when they enter the war. :) Keep sinking US carriers and transports and thats what the AI will build. ;)

Just to add on to the question, you can in a way send your ships on patrol by holding your shift button down to allow continous movement, although the number one priority wont be to attack it can be used as a reconasaince for say subs.

Oh cool now my Fortress Europe is going to be even better. :D

Thanks guys

I've sunk more US/Canada invasion fleets with tac bombers doing this 'cheat' then subs sinking convoys. :D Nothing is better then seeing those transports fade away and seeing some troops marching toward shore and then they too fade into the depths of the sea. :D

Does anyone know if in HOI2, you can just send your subs on convoy interception or transports attacks? I would like my wolf packs to just go after convoys and lightly guarded transports. I hate when my subs get into a fight with huge allied fleets with battleships, cruisers and large amounts of destroyers. By they time I get to retreat, I take allot of damage. I would like my subs to ignore large strong fleets (they still could get spotted and attack), and just go after merchant shipping (like the U.S. and Germans historically did).

P.S. when is HOI2 going to be ready?
