its kinda cheap but if you wanna check out a country's stats and bla, jus quit your game and start a new scenario like grand campaign. then choose that country. after tha campaign loaded, load up your saved game and you'll be that country so you can see wha their dp setting are and whatever else :D

Or simply look at the save game file with a text editor like Notepad.

I've checked out the save game file but it only seems to have info on the Gold shield countries. Big file though so I may have missed it. Trying to get Jos's Reader to work but my Game is in another directory on my second HDD and it can't find it. Guess I'll have to fool around with the registry.

They're there for all existing nations ... Search for the capital ...

I am serious about very few things, but religious tolerance is something I do consider important.

That being said, it's always good to exaggerate the differences for effect...from time to time.

Nah, just open it up with Wordpad and search for the capital of the country you're interseted in. The save game file has a lot of interesting things in it!
Set Wordpad as the default program to open the .eug-files, create a shortcut to the save game directory on your desktop, sort the files according to time of last change (so that your last save game is always in the top, could be handy if you save a lot and have hundreds of save files...), and all you need to do when you want to find out something when playing is to Alt+Tab, click on the shortcut and on the file in the top, and there you go! :)

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try. :)

BTW speaking about hundreds of save game files, Does everyone think that it should be easier to delete them. Like have an in game delete option so we don't have to manually delete them in the game directory {whine whine}. I know It's a minor thing but it really gets tedious when your doing it in windows. It's become a pet peeeve of mine since I mistakenly deleted my France game that I was almost to 1700 in, because I was mindlessly going file, click, delete; file, click, delete. Anyway anyone else think a delete tool in the game is a necessary addition.;)

Could you not just retrieve your France game from the Recycle Bin?

Yeah, would be cool to delete files from inside the game. Until then, I'll continue to always save over the same couple of filenames. :)

I screwed that up once also by deleting files in pairs since there are two files for each save game. But things were not lined up the way I though they were and so I deleted one file from each of two games. Really ticked me off. It would be so much easier if we were able to do it as part of the game interface. Oh well, maybe in EU III.:D

That's exactly what I did another time with a Mataram file. Although all these were because of corrupt save files that I was trying to fix In 1.03. That seems to be fixed in 1.04 so hopefully I won't be trying to delete game files that I'm playing now and this won't occure as often.:)
