And naval leaders with positive attrition will affect you ships. Never use them.

BTW, are the leaders scripted or random or both? In my recent game as Russia I had tons of leadership, but I had to use about 80 LPs to find a general who wouldn't give my troops more attrition...or a host of other difficulties.

Remember that even what looks like a "bad" general can be better than no general. The oly leaders I won't use are those with + attrition higher than what no leaer gives (unless I'm sure I can keep him in my territory) or those with -reliablity worse than no leader, even if it is only slightly worse I'll sometimes use him for regular troops if his other stats are good.

I can remember having three separate cavalry divisions sprinting around africa stealing claims with +40% speed and significant +ve attrition modifiers (can't remember what).

Might be "hellbent".
