I thought that struck me as I begun to think about how the devs decided to handle supplies and such in the game is through attrition... how do the do this for the navy?
As it is now, resupplying seems to be handled with replacement of equipment. So instead of sending fuel and ammo, we send infantry equipment and new tanks or fighter planes to the front...
But how to do this with naval units? It's fair to assume that we won't have battleships and carriers suddenly needing replacement while on the move... but still, ships in the war consumed oil and other supplies. A LOT of it... So how will this be handled?
An important example for this is Italy that kept most of their navy in port for most of the war due to a lack of oil....
