Naval airplane's "butcher's bill" tally not displayed

In a battle, 5 SBD Dauntlesses and 11 11 Nakajima BSN's were destroyed, according to the expanded Battle Results page.

This screenshot shows that the 5 SBD Dauntlesses and 11 Nakajima BSN's are not shown pictorially on the picture of units that were destroyed.

Here is another incidence in which the expanded Battle Results page indicated that an aircraft was shot down. But the destroyed airplane was not depicted on the main screen.

The pattern that emerges is that the player's destroyed aircraft are not depicted (I was playing the US in these scenarios and the AI was playing Japan).

A downed US plane is not graphically represented in the Battle Results.
