I just wish that the APP-6A had been more "correctly" applied: that my troops were in blue rectangles, neutral troops were yellow clover-shapes (I have no idea how to better describe them other than quatrefoil), friendly were green squares and hostile were red diamonds.
And that wheeled units had the correct stuff, etc. Oh well, guess I'll be trying to figure out that modification.
NATO symbols have been in since forever - in fact I don't think they were ever not in.
What isn't in are the NATO counters that were used in HOI3 and which people were demanding be used instead of sprites. You may notice that whilst the counter have NATO symbols in them, they are not actually NATO counters. Personally this is no problem at all for me and I like the Sprites.
I'm a counter fan too, but I like how space efficient these new counters look. It looks like you can zoom out further and get more info than you can with the traditional square shaped counters.
