I was playing around with a Fantasia mod in which most of the map starts empty, and I ran into a problem with Natives in Europe.

If I set the desc = fantasy flag, all non-capital provinces have natives, even ones assigned to countries and containing cities (the natives assimilate at the end of the first month, but it amounts to a random population boost). I've tried setting the provinces to natives = 0, but the Fantasia setting obviously overrides this.

If comment out the desc = fantasy line, there are no natives at all in Europe.

Is there away to get natives only in unoccupied European provinces?

Set it manually for each land province. I don't know about another way.

Btw. Fantasy settings has except the natives in each provice also effect of 6 colonists (and maybe also traders) per year regardless of DP sliders or any other modificators. And of course all armies can explore TI.

Thanks for the info - I was trying to make an "expand, meet and fight" intro scenario which moved a bit faster than Fantasia's "do nothing but colonise for 150 years", but obviously it isn't as easy as all that.
