I tried restoring the Monarchy with Nationalist Spain, but nothing happened, even though the event pop up fired saying I get my new monarch, nothing changed at all. Is this a known issue or what ?

Aaaahhhhh so that's why, yes I took the decision to flip fascist from non aligned. Thank you for clearing that up. Paradox really should've put a warning about this, because I ended up ruining my entire game by taking a broken and useless focus. Paradox should've warned that you can only go for dictator for life if you go fascist as Franco, so no one will ruin their entire game like me anymore.
