Maybe I'm just paranoid and I've stated this before:
I think there is some hidden nationalism that constitutes itself in an increased likelihood for revolts around the times when the nationalism drops (say, when the nationalism drops from 3 to 2% there is a higher chance for revolts taking place). This is just a feeling though, I have no proof.
Is it impossible to think that there could be some bug in the programming that has that effect?

I don't think it matters very much, but anyway...:)

It's easy to get paranoid with this game. No wonder so many kings in history lost their marbles.:D

Why would u ? That has no effect on the game whatsoever ...

Hmm. When my stability is low, Maroco is very eager to revolt so there is the effect. Other provinces seem to be content and don't have this annoying small percent on revolt rating. Anyway when I own some province very long time (above century) the line from savegame (nationalism started...) should vanish I think.

By what? Another religion (even if I give maximum tolerance for islam) or another culture? Zimbabwe is even eager to revolt than Maroco (stability +2, no bad events and they've got 1% to revolt. It is the first type of building there - I know it adds +5 to revolt but in other provinces situation is the same and they don't revolt)

re Morocco check your religious tolerance slider for Muslim. If you linger over the revolt percentage for a province, you can see where their unhappiness is, e.g., baliff (tax collector) +3.
The nationalism you are seeing in the save game might represent the chance that Morocco becomes independent. If you have a lot of problems and the province revolts, it might become independent again.
I've had that happen to me when I was playing Austria a month ago, got involved in too many bad boy wars, and both Thuringen and Saxony revolted and became independent again.

If you don't believe it test it. Or at least keep a record of all your revolts. You'll find that the in game revolt risk is right, and no nationalism ROTW.

Natives

the number of the natives in a province increasing by 300 every month till they reach their maximum number, usually its a waste to kill them becouse 9/10 times they attack after you fail to increase/establish a colony/TP there , so you can add a colony and then movesome soldiers in to defent them. The number of your soldiers + your land tech points are crucial in the battle, for example a large army can eliminate all natives at once (waste)while small armys can only won a battle killing 1000-2000 of them.
For the provinces with highly ofencive natives i follow a cheating strategy; i first wait till an army of another nation clean the area and then plant a colonist in (even if the neutral army is still there) , if you succeed in colonization the foreign guys will turn their flag to white.
Early on eampty of natives areas are reunion islan and the island next to it, other 2 islands a bit north of it in the indian ocean, st elena in the central atlantic , fawclands, terra de fuego, at least 1 area in eastern coast of africa (somalia usually), tahiti (always earn a COT there) and tasmania.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think there's one or two provinces in the vague area of Nova Scotia (not Nova Scotia, but nearby) that also don't have natives.

As I recall - I may be wrong - Micmac and/or Placentia don't have natives. (I looked to find the province names, but otherwise I didn't check from my previous comment.

LOL I had that feeling; my special brand of paranoia stated that just before the revolt risk changes from 1% to 0%, the capital province of a former country always revolts in a last, desperate attempt to regain freedom; if they succeed, they get independence with 100% chance. Nonsense, but I had that impression for the longest time, got it with Austria, with Svealand, Ile de France, numerous times. Just a coincidence I suppose.
