The Venetian Balkan Treaty

The Tsar of Bulgaria and the Duke of Macedonia, acting in concert for their own betterment and the advancement of their lord Venice, do hereby enact the following treaty of amity, alliance, and trade. Under the terms:

1) Bulgaria and Macedonia bind themselves to the other. The enemy of one is the enemy of both and both states shall wage war against them.

2) In times of need, the state treasuries are available to be loaned to the other.

3) Both states open their borders to trade, agreeing to reduced tariffs on goods originating from the other state.

4) To further trade along the common border, both Bulgaria and Macedonia agree to invest in a artery of commerce running northward from the port of Thessalonika to the Danube River. Both states shall invest equally in this project until completion and the profits from this project shall be divided equally.

5) This agreement shall last for ten years and can then be renewed upon agreement of both parties.

The Bulgarian Tsar promises to kill a kitten for this bureaucratic mess :)

The Papal States declares war on Algiers.

Casus Belli: See previous war and add the threat to Castile and of reverse reconquista.

Incidentally, because I declared war on Egypt before BzAli's event was posted, my stats should remain at their wartime level.

Even though this DoW occurs after the usual DoW-deadline, it has been okay'ed with me.

This is not a general acceptance of late DoW's, but due to the unusual circumstances concerning this war (that it was force-ended by event, and that the reasons for it still exist), an exception has been made in this one case.

Well, over the past couple months, it has become increasingly apparent, for a variety of reasons, that I have run my course in the game and it's time to move on. I've tried to fight it for a while, but it's clearly time.

So, I hereby submit my resignation as Moldavia.

I apologize to JG and MengHuo especially, but also the DTS members and anyone else I've left in a lurch. I'm sure that 3c can pick up the DTS nicely though.

It's been fun guys, see you around.

Sad news. Kindly mark Moldavia NPC.
Thanks 3c. And good luck running the DTS.

Hello everyone, I'm back, and in the mood for a little medieval intrigue. :)

Would the crown of lithuania be vacant? Can I take it? If not, Bosnia looks good. :p

.

Objected to; Inflation only applies to purchases/events by Algiers, due to the relative amount of currency in Algiers; unless somehow 2 eco worth of Moldoivian gold coins are melted into half their weight; it should be the same weight of gold, and non-inflated in Fez at the time of transfer. In fact, as I am reducing the amount of available currency in Algiers there could be an argumentation that the govt. is taking the neccesary steps to correct for the inflation event.

Inflation in Fez
shield_fez.gif

Fez has taken out massive amounts of loans recently, equalling no less than four times the normal treasury held by the small nation. In addition to this, the influx of inflation-striken currency from Algiers does nothing to help the populations trust in their currency. With a prolonged war looming, the population stockpiles supplies and merchants raise their prices.

RESULT: INFLATION
All economic expenditures will be twice as expensive for Fez for 1 year/4 turns. It will cost Algiers 2 econ to perform any act that would cost 1 econ otherwise. Algiers’s econ is also worth half for the purposes of loans and their repayments.

Agreed, but only because Fez has just been hit by inflation as well. Cccino, transfer two full eco from Algier to Fez, and mark Fez as suffering inflation as pr. recent event.
