National Ideas Request

Would you create National Ideas for Morea? I want to use them in the 1453 bookmark to avenge the fall of Constantinople.

If Morea would receive NI, 150 next minor insignificant pointless minors should receive NIs as well...

I think all these countries like Foix, Morea and Galicia (~150 with AOW) should be packed into like 8 new idea groups because seriously inventing separate NIs for every city on the planet is just freakin wastin' time

Well they did give Serbia, Romania and Albania all unique NI's, so the bar is already set pretty low.

I'm unsure as to whether Morea requires it's own NIs. A generic Greek set for Morea, Epirus, and Crete could work, especially if Greece gets it's own NIs a la Italy. If it's the founder's NIs or nothing, then the Greek minors should get their own. I'd also like to see Crusader state ideas for Achaia, Corfu, and Naxos.

Athens has a NI, so why can't Morea? But then every [OPM] country would need one like what Krajzen said.

Well they did give Serbia, Romania and Albania all unique NI's, so the bar is already set pretty low.

those are primary nations of 3 cultures. They are HUGELY more significant than a couple dozen french or russian minors, or a half dozen Latin crusader states.

I'm unsure as to whether Morea requires it's own NIs. A generic Greek set for Morea, Epirus, and Crete could work, especially if Greece gets it's own NIs a la Italy. If it's the founder's NIs or nothing, then the Greek minors should get their own. I'd also like to see Crusader state ideas for Achaia, Corfu, and Naxos.

I would be happy with a generic Greek set.

those are primary nations of 3 cultures. They are HUGELY more significant than a couple dozen french or russian minors, or a half dozen Latin crusader states.

Romania isn't the primary nation of any culture.

This also doesn't explain why they would give ideas to, say, Gotland. Or Danzig. Or Krakow or Smolensk.

3. Armenia stronk!
4. a generic idea for East African coastal city states like Mombasa, Kilwa
5. Mutapa
6. Timbuktu
7. Ceylon
8. Lan Xang, Khmer and Shan
9. A big buff for Ayutthaya, as their NI is even weaker than generic NIs.

ryukyu has had ideas for a very long time.

Not true. While Achaia is (supposed to be) a lombard nation; Epirus, Crete, and Morea are Greek. Naxos and Corfu are also lombard. I say Achaia is supposed to be since I'm pretty sure it's releasable as a Greek state.

In the final years of the Byzantine Empire, the remaining Despotates were ruled by members of the royal family, Palaiologos. In the 1453 bookmark, the Byzantine king's brother, Demetrius Palaiologos, rules Morea. It has the same Base Tax (3) as the Empire of Trebizond (3) and The Knights (3), both of whom have unique National Ideas.

The creation of NIs for Morea or even generic Greek Ideas for Morea, Epirus, and Crete would be simple.

Since people have been posting their requests here are mine:

- Hesse
- Westphalia
- Hannover
- Flanders
- Teutonic Order
- Livonian Order
- Pommerania
- Cologne
- Mainz
- Trier

So basicly more love for HRE nations, especially the western ones. Also making it so all Electors start out with NI. Standard German ideas are not that good and specific NI would make it more interesting to play those nations.

Lan Xang, Lan Na, Khmer, Malacca, Arakan, Brunei, Malacca, Sunda, Makassar, Sulu, Bali, Pegu, Shan (group), Moluccas (group - Tidore and Ternate)

This also doesn't explain why they would give ideas to, say, Gotland. Or Danzig. Or Krakow or Smolensk.

My best guess is that somebody actually cared and created decent ideas for these countries, then sent them to Paradox and improved them based on the feedback received.
After all, modders were involved in the map overhaul and in the addition of new idea groups.

Complaining on the forum without any constructive action can only take you so far.
