I dunno. I like the additional flavor, if I want to release and play Wales. But the ideas are underwhelming and I don't see anything that makes them more tempting to use/release them as a vassal or march.
Still nice to see.
Christ, when I have checked wiki I have discovered Armenia existed pre - AOW. And I have never ever ever seen it myself or on any screenshoots (and have viewed hundreds of Strange Screenshoots from their thread).
Which along these ideas being not - so - good means we will never see Armenia unless player intervenes in Caucasus
Today in my game as Cologne Aq Qoyunlu lost a war against the Ottomans and were forced to release Armenia.
No, I mean WoN-only. Inland trade nodes are a WoN-only feature, and Merchants steering towards inland only work with WoN. So that's an idea that does nothing without WoN.
For that matter they're not the only new set that are getting a WoN-only modifier by itself (Cyprus, Naxos, Pomerania, and Montenegro with Privateer Efficiency). It's odd cause when they gave WoN modifiers to national ideas they gave those ideas a 2nd non-WoN modifier.

A minor thing, but I'm hoping one of the descriptions mentions Owain Glyndwr, since the game starts 30 years after the end of his uprising, maybe the cynulliad one?
Really looking forward to AOW!

Why are the welsh ideas so bad? I'd rather have the bland national ideas than those.

Can we get National Ideas for late game nations like Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Westphalia, and Haiti please?
Hausan and Welsh ideas are great! If Hausa takes "quantity" ideas, buildings will end up damn cheap to produce. -40% building power cost? Yes please!
The following is a bit off topic. I'm still wondering what is PD going to do with Styria. Are they also going to make cores for other Austrian lands (Krain, Carinthia, Trieste) and possibly give some of them Slovenian culture?
Give them their 6-7th idea as their 1-2nd idea would be alot better, and allow to perhaps survive if lucky.
No cultural conversion modifier for Armenia? Well, I do hope AoW will at least give them (the culture) more than one province.

Oooooh... Khmer ideas? I've not played as them yet in EUIV as they had the kinda-useless Generic NIs, but they were my favourite SE Asia nation in EUIII
They couldn't of given the welsh one troop quality idea. Maybe a welsh marksmen idea that gives 10% infantry combat or something >.>
I don't suppose release-play as will work in ironman in 1.8? There a few nations with some cool ideas I'd like to try out that simply don't exist in 1444, or in some cases in any start date.
