Reading over the DD that covered West Africa, how will Ashanti form? It neither exists nor is Kumasi even a settled province at the game's start. The exact quote from the DD is: "South of the Mossi lands, the Volta river flows past Dagbon, the land of the Dagomba people, before reaching the Akan lands, where settlers streaming out of the old kingdom of Bonoman have begun founding a multitude of cities. Soon, they will found Kumasi, from where the Ashanti empire will one day rise". Will Ashanti form from Bomoman via some event (which would include adding Kumasi presumably), or will it arise, Funj-like, via event in an empty province?

[*]The Golden Stool: Yearly Legitimacy: +1.00

I giggled, until I remembered that a stool is also a type of chair..

The U.S. is some silliness Britain spread everywhere :p

Stool is a euphemism used by members of the medical profession. I don't know if American doctors use it or not but it isn't standard British English.

American doctors use it.

The Groom of the Stool... Very important position, and exactly the function you think it is. Obviously the medical stool comes from the stool variant used by royalty of the age (probably also high nobles and clergy), where good doctors that really wrote things down were few and far between, and has thus simply been carried on.

So, trying to un-hijack the thread from it's rather sophomoric turn to ask my original question - so how does Ashanti form in the game?
