That's way beyond the timeframe considering EU IV mostly focuses on the first centuries. Also, Russia was mostly a slavery-based almost medieval country, being better than Russia should be the norm.
- lold hard keep dreaming.

My only real wonder is the ambition... which I am getting nothing out of. What is it supposed to be!?
Catholic Finland released from Sweden can use it to convert Novgorodian orthodox provinces faster or vice versa. Should help with reformation too. That's the gameplay benefit at least, but if you meant what historical or cultural justification it might have then I've got no idea.

Overall I like the ideas. Responding to your responses inside this response... dawg. ;)
Discipline: Okay with this. +5 would be neat, but Finns weren't ever quite as disciplined as the Svea soldiery. Good at fighting, but not exactly ready to do everything they were told. See Hakkapeliitta tactics for reference.
On the 10% Tax: Lutheran church is way after this point.
Middle Finland: Savolax is in Eastern Finland.
Turun Akatemia: Agreed. Had some vague memories of the place being more focused on math and artillery training, but probably remembering wrong.
White Death: Infantry Power! Nowz! ;)
Anjala Conspiracy: Works.

Yeah too lazy to make it multi qouted. xD

Well cavalry tactics changed with gunpowder weapons notit does not justify lower discipline. ( It's an insult to my Savolax-Finnish heritage :p )

Well in greater Finland it could be middle Finland, or you count south, middle and north? Nah just trying to make some sense for the idea. :p

Åbo Akademi was a regular university as Uppsala. (It is actually the 3rd university in the Swedish Kingdom but 2nd in Sweden since Dorpat was in Livionan area with Livionian laws, not fully integrated in Sweden)

But the ambition does not make sense to me neither!?

Yeah, gameplay is obvious enough, but the whole historical/cultural thing is what I am wondering about.

Sounds like we have similar notions on the idea... maybe someone from P-DOX can tell us about the ambition or then we can wait for the DLC to come out and read!

Maybe Agricola basically inventing written Finnish to convert the people to Lutheranism?

I forget, do ambitions and traditions also have fluff text?

I don't think ambitions and traditions have fluff.

Really nice, I love these Ideas, this could be a great idea to take Finland as a Marche if you play Russia

Or play Sweden and use Finland as a march against Russia like it was in history ;)

Anyways, finally! And very nice ideas at that. Just surprised none of them is named "Sisu".

For some reason I have been always fascinated by Finland and wanted to play it. Finally it makes sense :D

Hmm... Let's see... Great Finland with Reformed faith: Finland + Karelia + Ingria + Inflants + Sweden + Gotland with some amazing government... Sounds awesome.

Anyone knows how to make Finland Shamanist? :D

Occupy either northern Sweden or the Kola from Novgorod. 0% conversion on the provinces until rebels rise. :)

I am totally going to do Finnish Shamanist Constitutional Republic lol. Although you know what? Theocracy would be even more awesome here :D

Northern Orc Army of the Great Shaman Mannerheim elected by Finnish Parliament - I love it.

Some thoughts after brief stint of research on these ideas.

Traditions
+2.5% Discipline (Okay, standard opener for military based nations.)
+10% Global Tax Modifier (Unsure what this is meant to represent? Finlands role as the Crowns source of tax income in the Middle Ages? Generally speaking however Finland is pretty poor and this is probably a negligible bonus.)

Expand Viborg: +15% Defensiveness (Like it)
The Hakkapeliitta: +15% Cavalry Power (Finlan STRONK!)
The Fourth Estate: +10% Production Efficiency (Generic, but fine.)
Settle Middle Finland: -15% Build Cost (Where did all the Tavastians go? Central Finland was already settled at this point in history... it was the north that was being made habitable!)
Found Turun Akatemia: -5% Technology Cost (Sure, why not?)
The White Death: +1 Hostile Attrition (Go go Häyhä!)
The Anjala Conspiracy: +10% Land Morale (Okay, so intending to declare independence = land morale? We should do that more often!)

Ambition
+2% Heretic Missionary Strength (Wat?)

Score: 10/10 Dissapointed no Lauri Törni references or more Sabaton songs in titles. Or as my friend said,"Very accurate for a minor nation." ;)
Were there ever Sabaton references in titles? Where , I've never seen :(

Mostly good stuff, discipline could be more along the lines of Sweden but that is a minor gripe. Great to finally see these!

Even if I can't ironman them. totally going to release finland. I WILL MAKE LAURI TORNI,SIMO HAYHA AND MANNHEIM PROUD!
