FINALLY NI for trebizond. I lost over 80 hours trying to form (survive) a decente greek empire with it. Never managed to do it. I guess its time to try again.

Here's a list of "A" countries that don't already have ideas:

Achaea, Albania, Athens, Alsace, Alencon, Armagnac, Auvergne, Avignon, Aachen, Anhalt, Ansbach, Augsburg, Aquileia (not sure if this is ever used but it's in the files), Armenia, Astrakhan, Ak Koyunlu, Ayidn, Algiers (though they have Berber ideas), Afghanistan, Aztec, Ashanti, Adal, Ajuuraan, Annam, Arakan, Aceh, Amago, Asakura, Ahmadnagar, Abenaki, Apache, Assiniboine.

We can probably discount French minors, Daimyos, and nations that don't exist in 1444 (Algiers may be an exception since it's formable). To me the most likely candidates are Albania, Armenia, Ak Koyunlu, Aztec, Apache, and Arakan. Aztec I think is by far the most likely, but I expect there's more than 1.

A NI revolving around religion would be nice and quite fitting too.Maybe something about the Sumela monastery ? Btw Panagia Sumela,to whom the monastery is dedicated, is still nowadays considered a symbol and a protector for all Pontic(Trabzon) Greeks.

No, Trebizond exists in 1444. It was one of the splinter-states founded among the chaos of the Fourth Crusade, and the Komnenian state managed to survive longer than Byzantium, only falling to the Ottomans in 1461.
