Castille - its ideas are very good, obviously, but hey this is Top list right? And Castillian ideas have kinda limited scope. Inter Caetera, Treasure Fleet, Ambitions are about colonising, Devout Catholicism is well good only for papal interaction as Catholic, Spanish Inquisition and +1 missionary are awkward if you don't conquer North Africa etc... +15% army morale, +5% discipline are always very good. +10% heavy ship power and +1 prestige are ok but nothing crazy.

Overall Castillian NIs require you to follow Spain 2.0 historical path with some overload: colonize Americas, attack Africa and convert it, stay Catholic and presumably religious... Also, military ideas are worse than French (though faster to get), Polish, Japanese, Moscovian, Prussian.

Meanwhile I upvote Japanese ideas because they are very strong and flexible in the same time.
+10% discipline as starter is in my humble opinion single best Tradition NI bonus of all nations in the game. No other nation has that high discipline bonus and almost nobody has +15% infantry combat ability (Prussia and Sweden are only ones beating Japan here) which is on the other hand, one of my favourite NI Ambitions. These two monstrosities combined mean Japanese westernized army eats Spanish, Russian and Ottoman forces easily (yes I fought them all) and are universally useful. On top of that if Japan remains Shinto you have +10% morale bonus so you have also upper hand over France and I think battles with Prussia/PLC wouldn't necessarily end horrible.

+25% domestic trade power bonus is huge, -2 unrest is very good as most nations get no more than -1, legitimacy and heir bonus solve dynastic problems, +15% tax bonus is useful regardless of economic strategy and there is decent +20% manpower stuff here. Only fort defense and stability discount are mediocre but hey, at least they are not navy morale recovery speed

Having stronger calv is not in the same league as Prussia's 30+ stack wiping armies. I tend to go something like 10-2-10'ish so I don't see much benefit in them horses

I keep seeing people saying stuff like this, Prussia so OP army. Poland only has horses meh. Poland has 33 % cav ON TOP of having morale, discipline, manpower and infantry power. Almost equal to Prussia in military and I like getting many accepted cultures. Even see people who think France has stronger military ideas than Poland, its like have you even looked at them?

Slightly stronger in the military aspect which except for 10 % tax and 10 % cheaper stab is all they got, not stronger overall.

Ottomans have some of the most well-rounded ideas in the game for conquest.
Castile's ideas are very limiting to playstyles other than colonization

Poland: rivals Brandenburg\Prussia in terms of military ideas and even wins until 1670-1680 due to superstrong and supercheap cavalry.
