The "Deutschland über alles" part is in the first stanza.
IIRC Hitler was actually the man who re-instated "Das Lied der Deutschen" as the national anthem. I believe it was outlawed to sing that tune, in the Weimar days...

The official anthem is the THIRD verse ... and on official occasions (football, national holidays etc.) only that verse is sung ...

Actually 1954, after Germany won the Worldcup (football) the crowd in Zurich was intoning the first verse
"Ironically, Das Deutschlandlied did not become the official national anthem until declared so by President Ebert of the Weimar Republic in March, 1922. "
