I barely installed CK2 on this HD yesterday, but I can't seem to run it more than 20 secs... When the game is loading flags or something, I get the following error:
"Runtime error!
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
So far I have tried reinstalling the DirectX, SP1, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86), deleting my local game cache on steam, reinstalling the game, testing the game with no DLCs and on all DLCs.
I guess I could try testing other solutions I read on the internet, but so far it seems everyone who has fixed this error so far, had something different going on on his computer - so I decided to make a thread on the issue myself.

I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit SP1
Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.80GHz
14.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz
Intel Corporation DP55WG (J1PR)
M237WD (1920x1080@59Hz)
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 (ZOTAC International)

I already played CK2 on an old HD with winXP - and I don't recall getting this error.

Thanks in advance!

Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii\DX\ and run dxsetup.exe

Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii\ and run vcredist.exe

If that doesn't help, please try installing ALL of these Microsoft modules:

First: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

Then: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

(If that doesn't do anything then http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 )

Then: visit the Windows Update site and allow it to apply all .NET updates/patches it wants to, for all .NET versions.

Also, I advise opting into the 2.2.1.1 beta now in the Steam beta tab.
