Although Aragon usually releases Naples, they often just take it right back. The situation is highly simplified compared to real life, but it feels like Spain inevitably takes Naples. The weirder thing is that Aragon almost always takes the ahistorical choice; Joan II fought a 4 year war to keep Naples, rather than just letting it go. Therefore, Aragon should be much more likely to keep Naples (with a high possibility of Naples declaring an independence war), and outright lose the restoration of union CB if they decide to let Naples go. Not sure how this would work with the Spanish mission tree, but right now, it feels like uniting (not forming) Italy requires taking on one of the strongest nations in the game, even if Naples gets independent.
