As a first game, i choosed the kingdom of Naples. By somes chance and 3 difficults war with Aragon (I won 2 of them) i'm now controling 70% of Italy.

I have 2 questions

1) How long does it take to have core on my new empire? I want to stabilise my kingdom and my BB before risking a war with the might alliance of doom of France, Switzerland and Venice.

2) Is there an Italy unification event?

I'm playing vanilla.

I don't think you will receive any cores in the near future, AFAIK only EUIII and later games have this dynamic core system, the EU II doesn't have it.

So my guess would be the Italian unification event (if there is any)
Good luck

In vanilla, there are no Italy unification events. There are in AGCEEP though, but only for north Italian states (Tuscany, Milan, Genoa, Savoy, but not for Venice or Papal States).

You don't receive cores dynamically on conquered territory; only via events relying on the historical expansion of your country.

Since FtG is seemingly still EU2.01, I can answer the questions:

a) You won't get any cores other than the ones you already have plus the potential ones gained through a historical event (which you won't receive for that particular country in vanilla)

b) I don't recall the vanilla having the possibility of creating Italy, but don't take my word, since I mostly play a modified WATK these days...

For the Glory has no dynamic core system, so waiting won't help. This is the same as in EU2. Over time however revoltrisk due to nationalism will wane (it needs 30 years, I think) and badboy will also lower itself. So you won't have problems with stabilisation of your empire, you won't just get bonuses for conquered provinces.

And in vanilla there is no unification of Italy, I think. You'll have to play AGCEEP for this bit of alternative history.

EDIT: who says we're not helpful? ;)

A kingdom of Italy is both an old notion and a very recent one.
The title was the old title of the Kings of the Lombards and was taken by the german emperors. It concerned mostly the northwestern part of Italy and i don't think it was used after the XIIIth century. The recent title of king of Italy was created in the second part of the XIXth century when Italy was reunified by a nationalistic process.
