Just a couple of things I noticed, I don't have access to the beta forums (GOG user).

Nanites seem to be pretty rare and as far as I know can only be obtained from the L-sector.

This unlocks the "Nanite Transmuter" building and also allow you to fabricate the "Nanite Repair System" for ships if you managed to take out that big junker robot (sorry forgot the name).

Just a couple of things I'm not sure if by design:
-Nanites can not be traded for. This seems a little odd since very rare resources like Zro can be obtained on the market, and even if the AI doesn't have access to this resource, I would think my empires local private market would be able to obtain this resource.

-Nanite deposits don't receive mining station bonuses like other resources (ie I get ~60% more resource for things like Living metal or Dark matter when using Mining stations, but Nanites don't get any bonus).

This could be a bug, but it may be intended that way:
-Terraforming L-sector planet with Nanite deposit will remove it.

On another note, habitats built on planets extracting resources will remove that resource. One of the nicer features I liked in 2.1.4 is that the resource would appear in a square on a habitat so that you never lost it...any possibility that this could be reintroduced? Perhaps it could work like the "odd factory" which appears under jobs without actually requiring a building slot.
