Names that are wrong

I have discovered several (Norwegian) provinces which start with the wrong name, and has a name that belongs to its' future conquerer.
The ones that are pushed inwards are the largest city name of the province.

Norway:
Bohuslën --> Båhuslen (Norwegian and Danish)
Shetland --> Hjaltland (This was the Norwegian name when it was Norwegian
- Leirwick --> Leirvik
Orkney --> Orkneyjar
- Kirkwall --> Kirkjuvagr
Faroes --> Færøerne/Færøyene (Danish, Norwegian)
Jämtland --> Jemtland

Have you discovered any?

The Finnish name of Vyborg should be "Viipuri" instead of "Viipurin".

The province Ostmarch in Austria. Should have the correct name Ostmark.
It is both interesting and funny, because IIRC it was written wrong as the game was launched, it was corrected by a patch and now in v1.13.1 it is written wrong again.

Well, there's one funny thing with Dynamic province names though. Be the Ottomans, then take Constantinople. Then use the decision to move your capital there.

If you have dynamic province names on, the province will rename to Konstantinye or something when you take it. The decision to move the capital also renames it to this name. So it renames the province...to the same name?

The Ottoman decision to move their capital to Constantiniople has renamed the province ever since EU3 (IIRC). It simply didn't stop renaming it when they added the automatic dynamic naming system.

Eh, no idea. I am guessing people used it to either annoy or grudge people who disliked their post, repeatedly. That is all I can imagine.

You can still see who rated your own posts, via the "Ratings Received" link in the drop-down menu that appears when you mouseover your forum username at the top of the page.

You just can't see who rated other people's posts.

I just remembered that Holstein is Holsten in Danish.
