Hi there

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a place to what the names correspond to. I know modern day geography, but most of the names escape me when the missions pop up. For example one mission I received I was asked to get the French out of the HRE. Unfortunately I do not know what this means, so if someone could help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, HRE is the Holy Roman Empire - if you call up your religion map you'll see a red line around (roughly) Germany and Austria. Inside that is the HRE.

THat's an easy one because there's actually a line on the map. Occasionally I am told to keep the Ottomans out of "Central Europe" and I'm never sure what's central and what's eastern and what's the balkans...

I really laugh my ass off when I get one of those stupid missions like "Get England out of Western Europe" or "Discover Milwaukee date now 1419, expiring date 1424".

I get a great event - no france in HRE...

cool I think as France (by definition) cannot hold territory in the HRE...

However I fail as it (presumably) goes by the historical bounds of the empire at that date... shame eh?

which is why I don't usually bother with dynamic missions. Royal Marriage with the papacy. Suuuure.
Well, you might try with the Knights of St John... :p
