Could anyone advocating for Magna Carta tell me how it does not make the name irrelevant and confusing? This is far from being a Britain-centered DLC concerning laws and etc, and no naming trend at paradox points towards a such name, to the countrary, the names actually tend to make sense and be a bit timeframe appropriate. Everything we know points against the name, so I don't see why it would be changed. It's like calling the DLC "Liberte, Égalite et Fraternité" or "Three Kingdoms".
The Prince or Common Sense is far more relevant and "cooler". The Magna Carta is not really the ideal for a DLC centred around parliaments either. You forget that it was a concession to the nobles, wehich this DLc concept is not at all. Magna Carta is, in the context you are providing, deeply linked to the English monarchy. Concerning the timeframe, I don't care about your albums or old books, and neither does the devs, as is this a fact:Hmm let's see
1. Parliaments are the main focus of dlc, not GB. Although theocracies and forts got a rework, what is a devotion bar compared to a whole new load and bunches of bonuses for parliaments. Art of war was 2nd last dlc so war themed name is on too not to mention development (cities:skylines xD)
2. Time frame doesn't matter, AOW was based on sun tzu's book written long past and in this case isn't really irrelevant as that document was what really enabled parliaments.
3.IT SOUNDS WAAYYY COOLER THAN ALL THE OTHER NAMES.
Art of War is 1521, definitely in the timeframe.
UK/England is not Europa - your argument is invalid. No ROTW improvements
England is most surely in Europe though, not sure why you say it is not?UK/England is not Europa - your argument is invalid.![]()

I think he meant the other one made by Sun Tzu.
Parliaments is hardly the main focus of the DLC. That's just 1 thing among many.Hmm let's see

Common Sense has been hinted at 3 times. And Common Sense is more than Thomas Paine's pamphlet.
I don't think he stopped.Well then, I wonder why did he stop? Because he realized he actually overused a phrase and caused lots of misunderstandings? Just wondering.
As for the Anglo-Saxon pride in the fact that there are other than Europe. During the period of British supremacy of the Englishmans often indicated that they are not Europe - they stand over Europe.England is most surely in Europe though, not sure why you say it is not?![]()
I don't think he stopped.
The first time wasn't in a dev diary. It was when Johan first mentioned he was working on the player-suggested Devotion system. It was then again mentioned in the first diary, and the 3rd diary. Just because it wasn't mentioned in the 4th one doesn't mean he stopped. He didn't, after all, mention it in the 2nd one either. You said yourself three times while there are 4 dev diaries.
I feel that this expansion focuses a lot on 17th and 18th centuries so here are some books from that era:
Candide
The Story of the Stone
The Social Contract
Common Sense - Age of Reason - Rights of Man
The Spirit of the Laws
Gonna extend this later...

Because the random guy is right, obviously. I read the next post, ands it hints on the OP of this thread. You did not read my post though, as I took that post into consideration while posting.3. Why on earth did you quote some poor random guy's post? (not dev)
4.couldn't even be bothered to read the next one either.
neither does the devs, as is this a fact:
If you considered yourself pounced, I give you my honest pardon. But I retain my opinion that the Magna Carta is outside the timeframe and was not designed in the way the game models parliaments. I also consider the parliaments as one of many features of this big DLC. My bets are on "The Prince" or "Common Sense". And this DLC is entirely "relevant" for the timeframe so far, so comparing it to Sunset Invasion for CK2 seems unfitting in my opinion. I never (or did not want at least) stated that paradox was infaillible. Then stop speaking for the devs which neither you and the poor random guy are.
1. I like to be organised.
2. How on earth could I reply to your post without reading it?
3. Art of war by Sun Tzu is more relevant to actual combat (the real war) instead of Machiavelli's which focuses more on the philosophical side compared to sun Tzu's.
4. I suppose sunset invasion was paradox's relevant expansion for the ck2 era then I suppose with your impeccable, infallible, intangible logic and strong pretensions against everything else not in line with your view.
Anyway, there is no point of debating anymore and I will just wait patiently for the announcement while you pounce on other poor people with different views.
