Always wanted to see Scotland with more meaningful provinces and provincial boundaries that would allow, for instance, the Earldom of Douglas and the Lordship of the Isles to start as vassals of the Scottish king early game. Galloway (south-west and east-central march) going to Douglas until 1455, and Innse Gall/Hebrides going to Lordship until 1493 along with Ross (incorporating the Highlands north of Inverness) until 1476.

Zeeland as an Island would be historically correct. The choice to make it so would depend on how the AI would handle it. If it traps the Dutch armies every time, then no.

Is it not at present? What does it look like in-game?
It's just another province. In CK2 however, it is an island, even though it does not matter at all in that game :p

I personally do not care about this at all. Perhaps I would if defending your last province this way had any actual in-game benefit, but right now holding on to Zeeland will most likely just increase your war exhaustion until you lose the war anyway.

Holding onto your last province means you cannot be forced into a peace deal against a land-superior nation when they do not control the seas. High war exhaustion isn't that bad when weighed against annexation.

True, but how long can the Dutch hold out in Zeeland? Sooner or later they should go bankrupt if they try to maintain a large navy on a single province's tax income.

You've never played Holland (or a country with similarly economically awesome sliders), have you? :)

I have, but I was aiming for a more realistic angle :p

I wonder if we'll ever see variable force limits. If half your country is occupied, you shouldn't be able to field a large army or navy for long. Or, have we had that in the past?

If Bornholm is not important, then I can find atleast 12 other provinces in Scandinavia alone that should be merged or removed and atleast 150 on the global map! do you care to tell me why Bornholm is not important and what a province have to look like to be important ?
As for your "AI is terrible at defending the islands" should we then remove all island ? lets remove Malta and Gotland right ? its the best thing to do ? (see my point?)

I guess many leaders throughout history are retards in your eyes, going for Bornholm.. how silly of them, while we are at it, surely the leaders of Germany and Russia that suggested Bornholm as a key province to capture in ww2 had no military or strategically knowledge..

If you ask me! I would love more of the islands that have been suggested in this thread! sure it would be great if the AI system is better this time around (it will be) I mainly play MP, so for me it would add alot more dept and strategically value to the game!

Mod it in. I prefer it out. Respect other people's opinion. Isn't what this thread is about?

Malta and Gotland are much much more important than Bornholm. If Bornholm is in, it makes sense to divide the Azores into at least 7 islands, and Madeira into 2, and create islands off the coast of Guinea-Bissau. After all, all of those were settled differently, and the Bijagós were even fought for - the English tried to get them.

Which leaders fought wars specifically to get Bornholm? Was there ever a war to specifically get the island, and nothing else? Because, if it exists, and assuming the AI goes ape for cores like it usually does, it will happen in-game.

I am not even going to comment that.. you clearly didnt see his first comment or the ops for that sake.

The Isle of Wight, which I live on. Actually I think it was a little island kingdom in Anglo-Saxon times. :)

EDIT: Oh yeah and Isle of Mann would be nice to see.
