We implemented a system that was EXACTLY as the Eu2 system as people wanted and screamed "WE WANT EU2 MONARCHS+LEADERS" back..

I actually understand royal marriages/inheritances, don't make any sense without the random monarchs.

But the leader-mechanic? Not only is it not mentioned, it is counterinuitive.

That said:

When installing NA my graphics ended up FUBARED. Icons overlapping or being assigned incorrectly etc. etc. I had a clean install so it's not about mods interfering.

So, not a good first impression.

EDIT: Not to mention that in EU2 you *could* propose royal marriages, so it is not exactly the EU2 system anyway....

Yeah, the only thing I miss from EU2 would have to be country-specific AI, and I don't understand why it's not in, as it should mostly "just" be a matter of stuffing weight variables into the AI calculations.

Maybe you never played Eu2, so let me clue you in: There were royal marriages in Eu2, diplo-annexations, not to mention historic events.

The problem is that it almost feels like they are doing the entire Monkey's Paw thing and deliberately "misunderstanding".

(It should be noticed that I have been arguing for traidition *and* scripted leaders *since before EU3 came out* so I'm not exactly willing to just let it stay at "this is what you wanted!" it was kind of what I *expected* though....)

The problem is that (the leader issue) really isn't something that (it seems) would have been that hard to fix: Just have a checkbox for "scripted leaders" and one for "Military tradition" and then you can click either, or both, or none and end up with no leaders whatsoever.
