I had this thought a while back that I wanted to share. I feel like dragons would be very well suited to having a nomadic government type. They rely heavily on tributaries, they have the ability to raze holdings; i just think it would make a great synergy. Plus any flying monster that eats a lot would tend to move from place to place, right?

Dragons already have a form of nomadic government if you make a nomadic dragon using the character designer, they just don't have any premade starts. Due to how manpower works, I couldn't find a way to balance their access to dragon raider units, so they are very powerful.

Tbh that sounds awesome. I think I might do that.

I can attest to that. Sadly that makes playing a dragon in the nomad region rather boring when doing it the proper way (I know I can always chose not to use the raider. I might start a new game doing exactly that at some point). I still have to do my dragon dragon throne game legitimately (I did cheat once to see if it is possible and if there are any graphic glitches or anything like that).

Apologies if this has already been asked and answered, but if I'm playing a human character, is it possible for them to receive a turning offer from an NPC vampire/werewolf/etc...? Just in general, what, if any are the circumstances in which a human player character can be turned.

Draconic Feudal should allow all the same succession laws as Feudal. It just occurred to me that I haven't tested having a muslim character with draconic feudal government, so that might have some issues. Or it might not. I could see that going either way.

It is possible to receive offers to turn from NPC vampires and werewolves. It's more likely if you have higher opinions of each other, are related, or if they are your liege and you have a job like Marshall or Commander.

Do you have any chart which racial combinations are valid for offspring and which traits are dominant?
I looked at the Species.2 event which causes all the lag and there certainly is some room for optimization in my opinion. For example you keep checking for djinn or werewolf parents when you already know they are both dragons for example.

So far I set up the outline which I hope will result in better performance. I still need to fill in all the code in the respective cases. Maybe I will finish tomorrow so that I can test it.

Edit: Ok, I made a small mistake in putting werewolfs as separate option from giants as werewolf giants seem to be possible. There are also some corner cases where for example dragonborn + werewolf only allows for a werewolf child if dragonborn is not inherited.
I will try to fix this tomorrow.

So I finished my "optimization" and sadly it feels like it is even slower now although its hard to judge.
Oh well, it was worth a try. The real time waster seems Species.5 anyway and not Species.2

I know. :( did not think the comment clearly after the link. :( and besides is there a possibility that it could be intergrated with the main mod? :O
Are the emoticons really necessary? Especially the ":O" at the end; it's not like what you're suggesting is particularly shocking.

Anyway, I think it would be an interesting addition to the mod (with Roll1D2Games's permission of course), though with a few changes. The main one I can think of is replacing Brother LaBaguette with one of the actual Archangels, probably Michael. I'd also make it to where it requires the moral authority of Catholicism to be especially low; Roll1D2's setup has the pagan gods returning and destroying Christendom, but I think it would be justified to have the Archangels grant their powers once Catholicism's MA gets below, say, 20, in order to give the Church a fighting chance.

Sorry for the late response, real life has been keeping me busy.

I don't think Species.2 is causing much of the slow down, since the issue doesn't occur in random worlds, which often have more characters from Mythos races. Instead, it likely has something to do with the current implementation of gods, since they are absent in random and shattered worlds. I've pushed up reworking them in hopes it improves early game performance.
Some of the checks are to allow for edge cases that shouldn't occur normally, but aren't strictly blocked so there may be ways to get them. For example, I think you could use the ruler designer to create a werewolf-djinn-dragon.

it's a habbit of mine to type that. my mistake. though yeah it should be intergraded with some adjustments hell anyone who goes though the process to be canoralized as a saint should help with that same with the accual archangels to help give christanity said fighting chance though what happens once the MA get's over said 20 after grainting the powers to those who are commited to the cross what then? though it would be hard to keep the moral authority above said number with the constent revolts of hereicies challenging the church and the ai generally is not all that bright when it comes to dealing with the matter forcing you the player and there controlled character to step up to go beyond the call of duty to save everything and become the hero of myth that is of the one in a million type chance. or at least work to establish a dynasty of heroes that can with time allow others of the ai to step up and fight hard and well.
