Well I just had this mystery pop up and so far I am totally lost on what I can do to stop it.

This sounds like a Holy War. Those are never pretty or easy to deal with.

Tensions are rising and all out war is on the horizon. Will Earth survive or will we be orphaned?

For the early part you can do very little, some event will pop up with a few choice but not much. After the world start to burn, you will have more option to help, and after even more time passed you get a massive operation for help, for that you need lots of stuff. The story is nice and the final result will depend on you, but for 20-40 sols, you just watch at the start.

Loved this mystery - and I loved the comet event in it - very paradoxian...
