Lot of work, there! I'm playing with Portugal my first game with AGCEEP+MyMap and I'm enjoying it very much. Just a question: how do you manage to have those big pictures of the world? simply putting together a number of screenshots or using some EUtility? Thanks,

Go to you'r main Eu2 Directory and than open a utility called Eu2_Settings than select the highest Sreen rezolution and that's it.

I use the highest screen resolution, but thet doesn't really matter.
I do it the old fashioned way: putting screenshots together. There are probably easier ways :D , But I don't know any and I don't mind. Although it's a big pain in the ***. Writing down where you sent your explorer and then mistakingly write east iso west.

Still looking good. Are we trying for all of Indonesia?
You guessed it :D . But gotta wait and see if I'm not over reaching myself... At least the 35k over supportable amount I got from annexing Ormuz is coming in handy :D .
Although I imagined that battles would be much quicker since my techs are way higher.
I thought that the ToT would also give me CB against pagans too, like Spain has. But nope. I really should know better after playing all these years :( .

1529 Update:

World news:
europe15297lj.jpg

- Austria has greatly expanded, most at the expense of Bohemia (P.S. that's what I like; too many people look at events and act accordingly. IMO only losers do that. When playing a nation, try to do so without using future knowledge)
- Poland has almost been reduces by half, forced to secede provs to Brandenburg, Lithuania, Wallachia and Ottoman Empire
- Ottoman Empire gets a foot hold in the northern part of Black Sea and in Italy and they expanded greatly in the Balcans, gaining 5 provs in total

Main goals for next 10 years:
- Portugal has a CB on Aztec Empire untill august 1530; maybe time for DoW?

Nagel, with what tool are you saving these images?
If with Photoshop, please check if gif images aren't smaller (they should be) or at least crop them down.
There are exactly enough images in pages of this AAR to make bandwith 'clump' - you know start loading really slow and never finish..

They're all JPEG images, even smaller then when using GIF...
Mmmm... This will lead to making images smaller (especially the world/europe maps). Thanks for mentioning. I hadn't noticed it myself.
So, thanks for mentioning!!!

Wow that was an epic battle in your 1519 update! Reminds me of my own little epic battle betwixt Prussia and France, which lasted 36 days (thirty - six) and killed 145,000 people..........haha that puts yours to shame doesn't it.? :D

So have you stoping colonise Americas?
Oh no. The Americas are the cheapest places to colonise and have good base tax values (a lot of 5 and some higher). North-Middle America and Australia will be the place for Portugal to colonise.
About the Treaty of Tordesillas. I wasn't defending any prov in "spanish" territory, but still spain did not take any prov or tp. I think that this is because we're in an alliance or because they've given me military access; they apparently can't take my provs :D . A big relieve for me. I do however think that should our armies meet in ToT territory, that they will do battle.
It's also too bad that tp's cannot defect. They had some 8 colonies/provs taken over by rebels, at which point I thought: let's get a land border with them. So I build a tp next to one of their tp's, byt no defections :( . Oh well, another thing learned :D .

A little, but I do have 3 advantages over you: I was outnumbered almost 2.5 times to 1, the enemy had a good leader and I had none, and I attacked by unloading from fleet, giving me a huge penalty. :D
Still, a battle like you have had has never crossed my path. I can't really remember fighting AI with having an army above 60k. 145k casualties... To me that's enormous. I do hope that most weren't yours and that you won; you left both unmentioned in your post ;) .

I actually wrote an entire AAR on it (in sig substitute if interested)... from that thread:

Strength, Start of Battle
[My army as Prussia]=45,000
[French enemy army]=110,000 (arrive in two parts)
Army of King Friedrich II [arrives on day 32 of 36]=15,000
TOTAL=170,000

Honestly though, both our armies had good leaders (and for me Friedrich der Grosse showed up just at the end), and I definitely didn't have a penalty for landing off a ship... BUT our techs and tech groups were equal :D when Fred showed up, after 32 days, my army was but 5,000 and the enemy's 40,000...Fred's 15,000 men managed to annihilate the French force completely in four days...!

Apparantly there are people out there that have trouble opening pages in this thread due to the amount/size of pics. Therefor it has been decided by a democratic election, which rendered a 100% voting result (only mine actually :D ) to
1: delete all exploration maps in this thread
2: stop posting the Europe pic; the world pic will have to act as its replacer
3: do decrease world pic in size by 50%

These events will only take place after the weekend, so that people have time to post their objections/ok's/...
