That's actually a bad idea, since that will :
a: not slow China down (they don't get a neighbor bonus, being tech leader)
b: give Exotic countries a big neighbor bonus
If you want to slow down China, it's actually quite easy, cut all their tax incomes in half. All those provinces will drag them down with the tech cost staying the same.

I agree with MKJ and it was my own conclusion too when discussing it for AGCEEP.
Problem is Ming weren't good at tax collecting (local powers, corruption...) but other owners of Chinese provinces could (should?) be more efficient even with wrong culture/religion penalty.
Another solution could be to raise inflation of China to around 30% in 1419 but because of AI cheat over inflation (in ten years after 1419, 30% become AI average inflation... of max 1%), this solution needs AI events every 3 or 5 years in order to maintain 30% inflation until Qing dynasty or infra level 5...

Oh, and... I'd like to ask something about the cheats in MyMap-AGCEEP (I'm using version 1.65).
When I enter an event cheat, nothing happened. Example, I wrote 'event 10000' (without the quotes of course), then I pressed enter. There's no command error, but the event won't pop-up.
One more thing is the cheat 'showid', which seems doesn't work. Is 'showid' is disabled at MyMap? Because looking for the province id in MyMap using the province.csv is a daunting task. LOL
Or perhaps the error was on me, so can someone explain, please? Thanks before.

I'm working on a new, ridiculously ambitious mapping project, though I only have time to work on it on weekends...
For the events u have to look at the triggers. As for show id i'm not sure if it works with mymap.Raden Shaka said:
