Why are there Myanmar (MYA) & Burma (BRM) in the game ?

Aren't they the same country ?

And in some scenarios, there are both of them whose country files have defined some identical provinces.

And also Mon (MON) & Pegu (PEG), their country descriptions are the same. Should they be the same countries ?

Only Burma and Mon exist as states at the start of the 1419 scenario. PEG and MYA exist only as revolter.
The nowadays Burma/Birma/Myanmar exists as the state we know today only after the british rule. For the first several hundred years of the game starting 1419 "Burma" is splintered into several smaller kingdomes.

I thought this also, and in fact Myanmar and Mon seem to have the same shields and flags.

Sloppy removal on my part. Notion had been to get rid of Myanmar and have only Burma. Traces of Myanmar were left in.
