V. CA and Converted Victoria: Revolutions Games
You can combine CA with my Victoria: Revolutions mod (called Southern Revolutions--Read about it here: http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5884935#post5884935) for the Total CSA Experience: 1861-1963. My mods go together like grits and redeye gravy, but still can't compensate for a flaw in the Ricky converter that leaves you with NO events in the game once you move over to DD/Armageddon. Here's how to fix that:
First thing you need to do is start a totally new game of Armageddon with the CA mod activated, then save and exit. Name the saved game whatever you like, but for example's sake, I'm going to call it "DONOR" here.
Next, open up both the .EUG files for DONOR (in the DD save games folder) and your V:R Converted Game (hereafter called CG, which will be where you left it). Near the end of both files, you'll find blocks of text that look something like this:

sleepevent = { } event = "db\events\AI_GER.txt" event = "db\events\AI_Other.txt" event = "db\events\AI_CHI.txt" event = "db\events\AI_ENG.txt"

...and so forth. You'll notice the block in CG is MUCH shorter.

Copy & paste the block of text from DONOR over the much smaller block in CG. Save and close CG. You may then do with DONOR as you will.
Fire up Armageddon (with CA activated), select the converted V:R game, and all the usual event files will be active. Fair warning: the event triggers weren't designed for converted games, so weird things will happen occasionally. Nothing you can do, really, and it is better than no events at all.
There you are--have at them now!

Less Micromanagement, More Animation, More Diplomatic Options, Reworked Map

I love Victoria for all the great political, social and economic options it gives to the player to stir their country to glory or the abyss in some cases :(
However I hope if Vic 2 gets released (with a map similar to EU Rome or better) there should be an overhaul of the economic system. I feel it is a real bummer to always have to manually increase each province's resource output (resource gathering), it is out right tedious if you want to do that for the huge Russian or British empires ( given the zillion of provinces they control). It really constrains the flow of the game play. Also I think what could be added that works well in other Paradox titles, are more diplomatic options, like assassination, sending spies, manipulating global opinion, sabotage, sponsoring rebels - insurgents etc. Additionally it wouldn't hurt to have animation for events like revolution;),

Any game Paradox produces based on the time period currently covered by Victoria is definitely going to use the EU3 engine. Paradox would not have allowed the older engine to be outsourced to other developers otherwise.

But other than the 3-D issue that some have (and even here modders have shown that improvement in look is very possible), in terms of moddability the EU3 engine is a quantum leap forward, and as the Magna Mundi team have shown, you can very much create a more historical-oriented environment for gameplay.

Not sure why, after what the modding community for EU3 has produced after the past year, there are still people who dislike the new engine.

Yes, I am perfectly aware of that. I was just going to make a last cry in agony before I await Vicky 2 again. :p

Please comment on my modifications to the 1881 scenario, oh plastic surgeon of Victoria. :D :) :)
