My Usa game, need help

So,
It's 1942 and being democratic has gotten boring, Im soon to become Fascist America but there is one thing I am unsure about.

I am a member of the Allies faction (democratic), so when I change ideology will I be forced to leave due to my national spirit as the US?

It says I cant join factions led by another ideology but will this apply to a faction I am already in?

If you joined allies before turning fascist you will stay in allies as fascist. You can, of course, leave faction but you must not be in war

Playing the USA is for the patient. If one gets bored doing so then another nation would likely have been a better choice. By staying on speed 5 with only occasional pauses, one can get through the period before the USA becomes active relatively quickly. Unfortunately, in the latest build (1.3.3) Germany will have almost certainly capitulated before US gets significantly involved (some point in 1942). If you wish anything resembling an historical war, +4 on slider for Germany is most likely needed.

If planning to be fascist America, one should take steps in that direction in 1936 instead of waiting until 1942.

My suggestion for playing as USA; max out sliders for Germany, Italy, Japan, and Soviet Union; otherwise, it's REALLY pointless. The United States in this game is the most insane powerhouse available, besides Soviet Union.

Playing the US in single player literally IS the incarnation of this game's "easy mode". As the USA at normal difficulty it is literally impossible for the AI to even dent you.

Also, if you want a fun game as USA, your main war focus should be against the Soviet Union, since they are your strongest potential opponent and will probably crush Germany.
