My true friend acheivement not working?

Hi. So i support rebels until the CB appears to go to war on their behalf.
Continue supporting rebels with your diplomat.
Then i win and demand the "Enforce rebel demands" in the peace deal.
I tried it once where the Rebels hold the wargoal (enemy capital) and once where I held it.

No achievement. Any ideas what the problem is?

It works for sure. what type of rebels were they? maybe thats the problem, there is something weird about religious rebels AFAIR

Yes Ironman is on. Ive gotten several other achievements on this run, some before 1.8 and two after.

Im not sure what type of rebels they were but i think it was either noble or peasant types. Are those ones compatible with the achievement?

You started this game in which patch? You can't get new achievements with saves from older patches.

This. You can't get new achievements with old game.

You can however get old achievements with old save game in new patch.

Ah OK thanks guys, that would be the reason then.
At least its an easy one to re-do, if i had had a problem with Market Control like this id be freaaaking out though
