I will update this whenever I have ideas:

Gaseoids (needs a better title):
They would be able to colonize gas giants, but get substantial penalties to life on solid worlds (due to the lower gravity.)

Aquatoids:
I would give them the opposite trait of lithoids. This means they would have lower habitability, but higher growth speed. This needs to be fleshed out further.

Gaseoids are unlikely. We have the Dathnak of Baldarak and they can live only on gas giants and can't build any spaceships. I'm not saying it's 100% impossible, but some kind of justification would need to be provided how the gaseoids can function as a normal empire and it better be good.

Aquatoids I don't really think we need. We already have several aquatic portraits among the other types. I guess maybe a fish people pack could make sense. An Aquatic trait though could be fine. It could even be a flaw as it would give a bonus to habitability only on ocean planets and a penalty everyhwere else.
