The simplest and best way is patience. Make sure your son who is emperor inherits your kingdom and wait for your current character to die. Also make sure your son survives and keeps the throne and sires heirs. Not that much you can do other than help in out in wars when possible.

If he is not your heir than you still have a couple of options.
1, When your first born inherits, change succession to seniority. This means all your sons will get a go at being king and bring in their own possessions.
2, Change succession to electoral and select your imperial son as heir.
3, Disinherit your older sons by making them bishops.
4, Make sure your older sons do not marry or have children, so even if they do inherit, the kingship will default to your emperor son sooner or later.

5, Assassinate your older sons

I merged England and Scotland this way (the grandson of William the conqueror, married a duchess in scotland which inherited somehow the throne of Scotland (I do believe they were murdering each other over there) at her death their son become king). So I have to ensure the grandson inherited England sending his brothers to serve the church (build churches/use those of conquered territory but I believe it depends of the casus belli). Then I waited for him to die and played as the grand grand son which was King of England and Scotland.

Is Serbia still a Kingdom? If so, you can figure out who has it, and revoke the title from them. If you mean that you want to make Byzantium into Serbia, that will be hard as BYZ is an emperor level title, and Serbia is just a Kingdom, but if you destroyed every kingdom except for Serbia in BYZ, it might let you destroy The Byzantine Empire as a title, and just keep ruling as the King of Serbia, but it would be really hard to survive all the revolts, as destroying titles makes everyone hate you.

Nope. Can't destroy your primary title. Which I think is bollocks.

You can only choose your primary title among the highest titles you have. So if you're an emperor, you can't make a kingdom your primary title. Besides, it wouldn't make sense: The world would see this large empire as huge Byzantinium including the small Serbia, not the other way around. Just think of Great Britain: Even after the Scotish king inherited the English crown, his successors were mainly known as kings of England, not Scotland. (Although he was technically both.)

In CK II you only have to liberty to chose your primary title among titles on equal level. Should the king of Hungary inherit Serbia, you can become Serbia again by moving your court to Serbia.

But i kinda liked the Empire of Serbia you know i mean after the death of my king the 2 merged but i though it would end up Serbia who would be you know the leader not Byzantie.

In these times the title "Emperor" was something special. It had to have a linkage to the Roman Empire. Only in the 19th century many states began to just call themself "Empire". Besides: How do you think would all these vassalls in Byzanz react if some foreigner appears and basically tells them they're just an addon to a much smaller kingdom? I doubt you'll keep the title for long in such circumstances. ;)

But i would have all the teritories Byzantie did and i think in this case it was poorly done i think i should of stayed Serbia but what matters really is that Serbia's
dynastie rules still.

You don't play the nation Serbia, you play a noble family. A family, which may have started as kings of Serbia, but later become also emperor of Byzantine. And once they rule Byzantine, the power base of their territory is Byzantine, not Serbia.

England isn't renamed to Normandy, either, if William the Bastard/Conquerer wins. It's still England, just with a Norman king.
