Absolutely loving this game so far. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a 4X game on launch. That being said, there's a few minor UI changes that I'd love to see happen.

1. Option to display resource icons on main strategy map. In AoW 3, resource sites would have little icons on them to show what they provided. It would be helpful if Planetfall had this, as well as showing the terrain yields for sectors on the main map. Currently you need to scroll out to the big map to see them, which can be a pain. Ideally this would be bound to a hotkey, as I would imagine it would clutter the interface a little and it would be nice to be able to bring it up as I need it and then hide it again with the push of a button.

2. Make messages from other leaders appear in a smaller pop-up window, AoW 3 style. Having to go to the Diplomacy screen every time another player has a thought on my completion of a quest is annoying, and I find myself normally just dismissing anything that's not a proposal from another player, which kinda defeats the point of having them in the first place.

3. More announcer settings. It would be nice if we were able to control the frequency with which the announcer commentated, as having them say something every single time a unit on either side dies feels a bit much. Right now the only control we have as far as I can tell is the Speech volume, which only works if you don't like the announcer at all, and even then killing it blocks other things, too. For those of us who enjoy the announcer but want just a bit less of it, it's even less of a solution. It would be nice to have an "Announcer comments: Always/Frequent/Seldom/Never" toggle.

4. Some sort of in-game tooltip reflecting Tier resistances. For those who don't know, a unit's base resistance to status effects changes based on tier (I think it's 0/2/4/6 for tier 1/2/3/4?). Unfortunately as far as I can tell, that isn't clearly documented anywhere outside of the... what, Database of Wonders? I forget the name. And even then it's not necessarily in the place where you'd think to look for it. It'd be nice to have the info more readily available, because until I dug in there it felt a bit like a guessing game as to why units of equivalent resistances would have higher or lower chances of experience effects.

I would like the "end turn" and "operations" button to switch places, and be more like they were in 3. I really question the wisdom of having the operations button be that large, and central, whereas the end turn button is kind of off to the side. Surely the end turn is more important?

I'd also like to be able to select and delete multiple saved games at once, with the addition of an autosave per turn, perhaps I would like to delete multiple of them to save on space? Either that or be able to choose when it autosaves, instead of having so many of them clog up the menu.
