My router

I'm trying to join a MP game but it says the IP ir not correct(which it is)he has also tried to join into a game hosted by me the same thing.I have re-installed once and I the right patch and everything.He thinks it's my router which is a Surf Board,does anybody know how to fix this?

For general advice, see my signature. It is important all the ports mentioned are correctly configured both in the router and firewall settings (SurfBoard is a router-firewall).

If you don't know how to configure the SurfBoard router/firewall, you should check the manual of your router. I tried to download the manual from Motorola (from http://broadband.motorola.com/whitepapers.html), but unfortunately it seems to not be available at the moment. However, you should have the manual as paperback (or perhaps as a PDF on the cd?) and check from there how to configure the firewall and router.

Do you have any firewalls? ZoneAlarm, anything like that?

I have a router as well and I, through hours upon hours of trying everything, finally got it to work a while ago. But sometimes it still doesn't want to join on computers other than the host. Basically, it's tough to get routers to work, you've gotta spend a lot of time on it usually.
