Not just that.
If I buy the extreme edition in the US, it's $45.
If I buy it in Europe, it's 45€ which, after exchange rate conversion on my credit card (assuming there are no exchange rate commisions) becomes $60.
Indeed, about 33% more.
Btw this is one of the reasons why I like GG so much. With the bluecoins system, I could accumulate bluecoins to buy those DLCs that are released when I'm abroad...
But now Paradox wants us all to move on Steam, so that it's more convenient at the end of the day for me to preorder on Steam (thus losing that 5$/€ discount I would get on GG for owning a copy of EU3).

It only seems fair that the content-adding DLCs would be available later for purchase. The cosmetic DLCs maybe, but I don't see why Paradox wouldn't want to make an extra dollar by putting those up. If you're busy for the next few months, perhaps you should just wait for the thanksgiving or christmas season when the game will probably go on steam sale. Maybe as much as 33-50% or even more.
